I have read several of Amanda Quick's books or should I say almost of all them. I absolutely love her style of writing. However, I find the narrator was very hard to swallow. Ms. Bailey's performance leaves a little bit to be desired. As some narrators actually acted their parts, I felt she just read the lines. Not much inflection in her voice. I am on the second book narrated by her and still cannot get use to it. Usually, I can't wait to finish a book but with this book and the next one, I am not as eager. The story was great and one didn't find out all the intricacies of the plot until the end which was surprising.
I have only heard the audio version
The end - what the legacy truly was.
She is fantastic. Brings such life to this story. Funny as only Victoria Alexander can do.
You Went Through All This for That?
I love Victoria Alexander's books and this one does not fail. Funny, witty and just plain good entertainment. I wish all her books were audiobooks. I have all her books but audiobooks just gives it another dimension.
Very good mystery
Evelinde as she was funny, virtuous, loving
Ms. Palka's voice was not the best. She is at times monotoned and could use some improvement. Accents were alright but again could be improved.
Near the end when all was revealed and why.
Loved the story. Was a good love story along with a great mystery. Who would ever believe the person who was the real culprit. I have read other Lynsay Sands books and believe she is truly a great writer.
