"Sorry Angelou Lovers"
Couldn't do it. Love the lady but not her narrating her own book.
"I can’t believe I listen to the whole thing"
The name of this book had a lot of promise being that I have rafted a few times before although never in the Grand Canyon. I have hiked the Canyon so again promise. The narrator was very stiff he did do a good job in changing voices for the charters. The author tried to make this a coming of age story but failed miserably.
"Why did I finish this book?"
This book has absolutely no value. I learned nothing that I could take away from the book. The narrators high pitch voice can grate on you. Her attempt to do male voices is terrible. The authors attempt to write a sex scene is the worst I have encountered. Good luck if you decide on this one.
"A Must Hear"
I'm so glad I decided to get this classic. You will not be disappointed. This would be a great book for a book club. I would guess most clubs have already had this on their read list just not mine. Then I have only been a member for a year
"Another Great Purchase from Audible"
This is a great historically accurate book with insight of slavery and the ownership of them, tragedy and love. Although I found Lavina to be dense which hurt the story. If you liked “The Help”. You will certainly like this book.
"Sweet Story"
The narration on this book is fantastic. Saving CeeCee Honeycutt is very much like Secret Life of Bees.
"Could this really happen"
I loved this story as I usually get tired of Grisham’s court drama books. The old man in this story rocks. I would love to see this in real life.
"YA Book for sure"
Differently a YA book. Glad I listen to it to discuss with my niece. I won’t listen to the other two unless I just can’t find anything else to listen to. HA!!! like that’s going to happen.
"A Lot of Information"
So much I did not know about the Second World War the problem is there is so much political information I got lost in a lot of the story.
"The word "Odd" will never be the same."
Very clever… I can’t wait to listen to the next one. I cannot hear the word “Odd” without thinking of Odd Thomas. The narrator is awesome hope he reads the rest of the series.
"Matterhorn ???"
Couldn’t finish, too many characters therefore I couldn’t connect with any of them to get into the story.
