Let me say first, I didn't finish it...so you may want to stop reading now, but I just couldn't! I was 2 hours into it...and realized I knew nothing! I couldn't figure out which person was which sin, and there was a lot of talk about steamy things...and more talk, and MORE talk, and nothing ever happened! The main female role was a twit...oh dear I have never felt this way...oh now I feel this way...it's wrong to feel that way...I have never felt that way...huh? I have never in my life felt like screaming at a narrator to just SHUT UP! I had to end it.

No doubt I have just lost 20 or more of my followers by reviewing this book, BUT, can't help it!

This trilogy had the misfortune of being too hard for some, too soft for some, but it's real power was to introduce the vanilla crowd to....MORE.

It is not overly erotic....it is not a short and sweet romance...it's in between and you either LOVE it, or you HATE it....and I personally love it. I have been stuck lately with the same old same old plot of boring and repetitive books that are all the same but with different covers, I just had to pick if I wanted to read about a Navy Seal, a billionaire, cowboy, vampire or a shifter. *yawn*, so I went back to basics.

I have missed the Christian and Anna stories and am enjoying them again. If you hated them, then ignore this review...if you loved them, go ahead and re-visit, especially if you know more about kink now than you did the first time you read them.

Still dislike Becca Battoe, but I'm willing to put up with her for these books.

I was SOOO looking forward to this book. I loved Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster (Beautiful Disaster from the males point of view)....but this book was a waste.

While I loved hearing the humor of Jamie McGuire, and the quick witted characters, the whole plot fell flat. Add that to the fact that this takes place in the same time frame as Beautiful Disaster...with one bit of added information from the Travis/Abby storyline that I REALLY could have done without...and this book was just bad.

It tainted my memory of one of my most favorite books of all time, and it had contrived drama out the wazzu! There was a big secret eluded to shortly into the story and when the truth came out it was only a 3 second explanation and it was in the last 10 seconds of the book and it REALLY didn't have to be such a big secret. That "secret" caused way too much drama that never had to happen, so while I adore Jamie McGuire's writing style and humor I am not happy to have purchased this book and will likely return it.

Don't bother with this one...not even on sale!

This didn't exactly have the same feel as book 1 but it summed up the Brie/Sir relationship well. They had ups, they had downs, they had villains, they had hero's....and all along they had a love story.

It was fascinating to listen to the inner dialogue of a submissive...I don't know how factual it would be, but this book came across as natural and plausible.

There was room at the end for a slew of follow up books and I hope this author feels compelled to visit these characters again because I would definitely purchase any one of these characters stories...well maybe not Mistress Clark...but come on, she's just a witch!

If you like kink, or the Dom/sub world give these two books a chance, I for one will for sure be listening again!

If you are drawn to erotica with a BDSM twist and or the whole Dom sub idea...then automatically get this book, I mean right now! I could NOT stop listening, I mean I listened while I got ready in the morning, on my way into work, while at work....nope that was not me bopping along to music on my headphones that was me not being able to put down this book! I have NEVER read a book even close to this one before....maybe I'm sheltered but WOW, if there are more books like this I hope to find them soon!

Brianna is a struggling filmographer, she hasn't gotten her big Hollywood break yet so she works in a cigarette store to make ends meet and practices her craft on the weekends. One day a handsome man comes into the shop and she is drawn to him...but she doesn't know why. He leaves her a card with a web address for a school...a school to train submissives. She thinks it's a bunch of bull, but she looks into it...and that is when the fun begins! Through this intensive 6 week course we see Brianna grow into a "proper" sub and just bloom as she discovers who and what she really is. This book details her training which includes multiple partners, both male and female, and multiple BDSM tools are used on her and on others. This book was down right instructional, while it was entertaining.

There was no one clear love interest for the female lead, and that made it unlike any other book in this genre that I have ever read. Was there instant attraction, yes, but Brianna got to explore every side of her kinky nature with a variety of different type of people, places and things. At the end of the 6 week course she decides to pick a Master...but at the start of graduation even she doesn't know who to pick...there are so many sides to her kink and finding one man to be her everything is not an easy thing.

I adore, adore, adore this book!!! The narrator was wonderful...the hot scenes had my earphones melting, and listening to this woman grow into a better stronger version of herself was empowering to the reader. I have already downloaded book 2 which is her life after graduation...and no there is not cliffhanger....I just want to see what happens with her and the Dom that she chose.

I would buy this book at full non-member price if I had to....never have I been so engrossed in a book before. If you are interested in the kink side of life, or just like reading about it, this book could not come more highly recommended!

This is erotica, nothing that is going to win a Pulitzer Prize, as long as you go into it with that expectation I think you will like it.

This is the story of a woman who knows she wants the submissive life and is trying to get it, then there are two Doms that are willing to train her. So the hot scenes are hot, and the backstory was a bit shaky, but overall it was an enjoyable listen to watch how everyone's path unfolds.

Narrator doesn't do male voices well but her emotion was good. I got this book on sale and it was totally worth it, if I had paid full price I don't think I would have been happy, but I didn't, so I am :-)

Put it in your wish list and audible will let you know when it's on sale.

    Story

Yes, I'm returning the book...but I wanted my followers to know that I didn't like this book and when you return a book you can't write a review....so....

The premise has been done about a million times. Girl in trouble seeks out father's old military team insert army, seals, marines here. Guy doesn't think he deserves girl due to all the "bad" stuff he has either gone through or done. Girl can't get closed mouthed military guy to open up...etc...etc.

There were a few unique twists, and I will say the hot scenes were done VERY VERY well, but overall the book had me turning it off several times and when you add that to the fact that this isn't a stand alone book, well it kind of irked me. Instead of being a stand alone book about 1 member of the team finding love it has a back story about drugs, money, dirty cops, gang bangers, and a big coverup that doesn't get resolved in this book.

If you are at all sensitive to police on the take, or military people on the take, or about the idea that a branch of government would abandon soldiers and ruin their lives for the sake of a coverup...yeah don't read this book.

All in all I'm not intrigued enough to read book 2 in this who-dun-it romance story, and I found the whole premise to be flawed. I have no idea why it has such rave reviews, but it won't be getting one from me.

This is book 3 of the All Souls trilogy, and it didn't disappoint. I have been following this trilogy for years, and eagerly awaited the conclusion. If you want a series that you will have to think while listening and not just wait for the cotton candy covered puffs of knowledge to come rolling your way then this is an excellent trilogy for you.

In a nut shell this series is not for the light and fluffy reader. There is romance but there is also alchemy, historical references, mythology, complex microbiology and all in all it is a cerebral book. Nothing is really laid out for you to coast through, this book engages your brain and your heart.

This is the story of Diana Bishop, she is the last in a long line of witches, but she has chosen to ignore that aspect of herself, after all she was never really any good at all that spell stuff anyway. While researching historical texts in London she crosses path with a vampire...a 1500 year old vampire who she is drawn to and repelled by, but this is not some YA novel, this is two grown adults trying not to be what they know they have to be.

It's a beautiful series about love, loss, fighting, family dynamics, and true friendships. I'm happy to have found this series and although I found book 2 to be a bit too historical for my tastes book 3 summed up everything nicely and answered most of my questions. I do hope there is another book about this world, it really is a fascinating one.

Jennifer Ikeda did a great job narrating as usual!

Sometimes you read a series that just makes you appreciate the world more, this is one of those series. From book one you get to listen to these two people from different worlds fall in love, and in book 2 you get to see their love grow into a real relationship. By the end of book two I was left with a feeling that I overcame all the odds they did to get to my HEA, and I guess that's what a good story is suppose to do for a reader.

I don't want to give much away, so I will say that this book doesn't drain you...it doesn't pick you up to knock you down, it wasn't implausible or saccharine sweet it was like watching a movie and at the end you just want to take a deep breath, smile, let it out and say...AWWWWWWW! That is how you should feel after reading a romance book! It wasn't hot or steamy but it wasn't devoid of major sexual tension and innuendo, I hate to be all Goldilocks here but it was ...just....right!

Well done Mrs. Reber, your efforts are appreciated! To my fellow readers, I know they are two long books but I have to say it was worth the ride!

This is book 3, the final book in the Driven trilogy. I didn't really like these characters by the end of the series. I mean sure there were some redeeming qualities but it all seemed to wrap up too nicely and I felt the book had about 3 different points it could have ended and that was before all the epilogues...and yes there were multiple epilogues.

If you liked the first two you will want to know what happened with these two characters so you will buy the book like I did, but I can't say I will ever be revisiting them, just too much angst for me.

There are a few things I want to clarify before beginning my review, since the choice of to be or not to buy usually comes down to these categories for 90% of the population.

    1. This book is 22.5 hours long...so if you aren't into LONG books move on!
    2. The sexual tension and chemistry were there...but if you are looking for an erotic detailed read move on!
    3. It is not a YA book (I was relieved when I finally figured that one out!)
    4. The narrator is very good, even fake yawning a word when the script said to
    5. Even though this was a story about a mega movie star and a simple girl, I have to say the contrived drama was kept fairly minimal.

    Okay, onto the review.

Small town bar owner Taryn gets the shock of her life one day when she opens up her pub door and sees a slew of girls chasing a guy...she instantly gets him inside and realizes it's Ryan Christianson the mega movie star filming locally. She feels the need to protect him and helps him calm down and so the story of the Taryn Ryan relationship begins.

Some parts dragged but for the most part I liked the book. I liked that it wasn't insta-love and we are soul mates and poof it's us against the world. This girl had doubts, this boy has issues, they had to work to get together, but no one was abused as a child or was horribly broken or a virgin, thank goodness. I did get a bit bored with how much the girl doubted everything, but new relationships are hard and I imagine dealing with the mega movie star who can get any girl he wants scenario could make one doubt herself.

There were real life scenarios and nothing too over the top dramatic until the end that is...but you kind of figured something like that was bound to happen. And I am thrilled to report that although this is book 1 of 3 the third book isn't about Taryn and Ryan and book one did not have a cliff hanger ending. I have already downloaded book 2.

I would say it's well worth the read/listen!
