This is the third book in the series and I have enjoyed each of them. The characters in these books have all overcome sad circumstances but they display a wealth of wonderful traits and try to make the world a better place. I think this adds something to these books that cannot be found in the normal historical romance. This book in particular is the story of a strong, caring woman who made good in the world. It left me feeling good and very satisfied.

And I loved it. I love Audible sales because I can listen to authors I have not experienced before. This was a delightful book by one of my favorite narrators!

I liked this book a lot. I especially liked that the hero was not tremendously tall and he had green eyes. He was good and kind and honorable. My kind of man.

I am falling in love with John Ceepak. A veteran of Afghanistan turned cop in a beach town Ceepak cannot tell a lie nor tolerate those who do. These light mysteries are totally entertaining. A great bargain when you buy the Kindle book first.

This is the second book I have gotten by this author. While the story is less tight and more gruesome than Spilled Blood, the characters draw you in and the story tugs at your heartstrings. Well worth the time and credit.

I am just blown away by this book. A gripping story, pitch perfect performance, and compelling characters make this book one you will not be able to put down. Start this one on a long trip or a weekend - and enjoy!

I will confess that I bought this book because I could get it for $1.99 after buying the Kindle book for 99 cents. It was just a fun, entertaining listen. No gross torture or even love or sex. But very interesting characters who will leave you wanting to know more about them. I am already into the next book of the series.

I won't disagree that this is not Nora Roberts' best but I always enjoy characters that overcome their circumstances. Narrator was not my favorite but not detracting either.

Not as good as the first book in the series but still a fun read. I would recommend.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series but even Susan Ericksen could not make this book interesting.

I had gotten the last book of this series a few months ago and liked it but thanks to the Series Sale I was able to get the first 2 as well. When you listen to this one first and the others in order it makes them much more enjoyable. Don't get these if you are squeamish about sex scenes as they are plentiful and graphic. Otherwise enjoy!
