Seth Quinn is finally home. It's been a long journey. But a lot has changed in St. Christopher since he's been gone - and the most intriguing change of all is the presence of Dru Whitcomb Banks.

I love the voice the narrator gave Seth Quinn. Great book, totally hot men, would love for the Quinn stories to go on and on and on. One of the best.

Robin and his crew are most likeable characters. I never enjoy the description of pain and suffering involving innocent people but it is pretty essential to the storyline here. A satisfying ending makes the story worth the time and credit. Overall an enjoyable series.

A long-buried family secret resurfaces when one of Aloysius Pendergast's most implacable enemies shows up on his doorstep as a murdered corpse. The mystery has all the hallmarks of the perfect murder, save for an enigmatic clue: a piece of turquoise lodged in the stomach of the deceased. The gem leads Pendergast to an abandoned mine on the shore of California's desolate Salton Sea, which in turn propels him on a journey of discovery deep into his family's sinister past.

This book is much more like the Pendergast of old than either of the last two books. I had to go back to Two Graves and refresh my memory of the events that brought our beloved character to this point in his life. But it feels now like things are back on track to be good.

Cantrell wants the situation resolved quickly and knows that Nathan is the man to do it; after all, he has a history with the place. The jungle he and Harv are about to land in is the same one that Nathan barely escaped with his life decades before, an ordeal that left him physically and psychologically scarred.

This book was certainly not bad and it held my attention but it was my least favorite of the series. Nathan does face some demons but there is just not nearly as much emotion or personal interaction as I like. It was a total opposite of the last book. Oh well - maybe the next one will be better. Still love Nathan McBride.

The president knows it's a perilous, high-risk assignment. If he gives the order, he has the opportunity to take down a global menace, once and for all. If the mission fails, he would face certain impeachment, and the threats against the nation would multiply. So the president turns to the one team that can pull off the impossible: Will Robie and his partner, Jessica Reel. Together, Robie and Reel's talents as assassins are unmatched. But there are some in power who don't trust the pair.

I am beginning to like Robie & Reel better - their characters are growing, becoming more human. The picture painted of life in North Korea was sad and it will stick with me. The story is improbable in some ways but totally fascinating. What I expect of Baldacci. Overall it was a good book and left me ready for the next installment. We'll worth my time and credit.
