This is the second book in the White trash Zombie series. I read the first one. Loved it. Listened to the second one and I loved that even more. This series has a different spin on zombies. These are functional people with jobs yet they still have some abilities of traditional zombies.
Narration was perfect! I had a real feeling of being in the south. Which I missed out on when I read the first book.
Their is a really good mystery in the book. Well worth the credit!!!!!
I am looking forward to a book 3
Pretty when She Dies is great, even better I found this in a BOGO! I could't find anything else so I took a chance. I am glad I did. We are finely back to the basics of vampires. No eating, NO sunlight and NO entering without permission! Its nice to go back to the older rules.
We follow the main character as she tried to find her way in her new life and at the same time stay alive... or stay undead....as she is being followed by her mean and board creator.
The story is perfectly timed. Not rushed and kept my attention through out!!
I tend to like some "loven" with my vampires. This book gave that as well although there could have been more. :)
All around great listen.
Even if you can't get on a BOGO or sale. It's well worth a credit.
I will be checking Ms. Frater's book list. I think I may have another author to follow.
Love second book as well.
Tufo is doing a great job of making this apocalypse same real. Mike is very realistic. He knows what people are like and what humans will do! I would recommend that you read book one first. This review would make for sense if you have.
I just love Tommy!! So clueless one minute, with his candy then giving very helpful one liners the next. Its not clear to me what he truly is yet but I look forward to finding out. Nor am I clear on why this family it targeted.. Perhaps I should read book one again.
These Zombie's are evolving. That's all I will say. Its a great twist...... Speaking of great twist Zombie's read Diane Roland's My life as a white trash Zombie.... Anyway back to Zombie Fallout. The end of the book is frustrating but that is what sells books. I promptly went to buy book 3.
Zombie fan=Zombie fallout. Enjoy!!!
This book follows Jim as he is tasked with helping to save those who have sold there soul's.
I like how Ward ties in some of the characters from the BDB series, You don't have to read that first but if you are a fan then you notice the mixture.
Enjoyable, long and complex. With the series I will have to be sure I am in the mood to pay attention.
Narration is well done to. Dove doesn't rush that story.
Just read it! Great story! Great narration.
I didn't forsee the ending which makes it even better.
I have come to understand that if you like one book from Molly Harper. You will prob like them all. I have yet to be disappointed in any of her book. I will continue to read them regardless of rating.
I look forward to hearing what happens to all Jane and her crazy friends and what shes unwillingly got wrapped up in.
You will like this one even more if you are really into the relationship between Jane and her sister. There is a great scene between the two.....
This is my second time reading this book!! Smooth narration!!!! The mystery is well thought out. It doesn't feel rushed at all. I enjoy listening to mysteries that have some of everything. Work, the good and bad of it. Romance, there could be more of this for my taste. (gets better as the series goes) And of course the mystery itself. Its entertaining to listen as Eve filters her way though a murder as she tries so hard not to become involved personally.
Well worth the credit. Just be careful as there are many in the series and once you start. It could be hard to stop.
A good Zombie series with 5 more to read. I can't wait!!
The first book in the Zombie Fallout series. We follow Mike Talbot and his family as the Zombie's spread.
Narration was very good. Smooth!
This is well written. I love the sarcasm from Mike. He thinks a lot like I do. I found myself laughing at times and even a few tears.
If you are a zombie fan... even a small one.. Listen to this. You will not regret it,
I will for sure be purchasing the next book.
I really enjoyed this book as it gave me understanding of Mencaries(sp). He was always so mysterious in the Cat and Bones books.
If you like Cat and Bones and the characters around them. Buy this book!
An OK mystery, trying to figure out what and or who is helping Laura. However it was a bit anticlimactic for me. I don't want to give to much away. I will just say that if you are into history this book maybe for you. I normally think Koontz=scary and suspenseful. Not so much here.
This is a new series for me! We have vampires along with other supernatural beings. Which I hope she will touch more on as I get into the series. This first book takes us through how Merritt becomes a vamp and what her roll will be within the vampire world. This takes up most of the book however there is an underline mystery to solve which affects Merritt very personally. I was unable to predict the ending although looking back I prob should have. It was fun and kept me entertained. I would have liked to see more romance. There is a bit of sexual tension but I am one who likes the full show.
It also helps that I recognize the area that the book is base. Being from IL makes the story a bit more "real".
If you like vampires and a light read. This is for you! However if you really want the romance perhaps a different series is more for you. I plan on reading the next couple books. See if anything comes of that tension.
I love this series and hope to read more. It's just a fun spin on the "normal" zombie. I enjoy finding out what will happen to Angel next.
Well narrated by Allion McLemore. She is able to bring out the feeling in all the characters.
I recommend that all 3 of these books be listened to. Spend the credits, even spend some cash if you have to. You will be pleasantly entertained.
