When Eddie was 12 years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a bike. Although his life had gotten harder - and money tighter - since his father died and the family bakery closed...Eddie dreamed that somehow his mother would find a way to have his dream bike gleaming beside their modest Christmas tree that magical morning. What he got from her instead was a sweater. "A stupid, handmade, ugly sweater" that young Eddie left in a crumpled ball in the corner of his room.

My wife and I listened to it on a trip. Found it to be enjoyable and inspiring. Overall his narration was very good but at times he lowered his voice so much that it required me to have to raise and lower the volume numerous times.

Daughter of a cold, controlling mother and an anonymous donor, studious, obedient Elizabeth finally let loose one night, drinking too much at a nightclub and allowing a strange man’s seductive Russian accent to lure her to a house on Lake Shore Drive. The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman now known as Abigail Lowery lives alone on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she works at home designing sophisticated security systems.

If you could sum up The Witness in three words, what would they be?

Keeps you interested. Kept a good balance between intrigue and character profiles.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Abigail. Due to her circumstances she was an unusual person who was just starting to learn about life. Her character and development was well portrayed. She was interesting and fun.

What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?

Excellent job! Never questioned who was saying what.

    Any additional comments?

    Would make a good movie.
