"Oh my gosh"
Enjoyable....not exactly. More like watching a train wreck and not being able to leave the scene. Part of me is totally ashamed that I even bought this book, but after Andrew Young's book, I was curious. What exactly was Rielle's "truth". OK, on one hand we have a whore and on the other a lawyer. In his case, a pretty close call but I'll give Andrew the edge. Rielle, all I can say is you and Johnny DESERVE each other and thank you for sparing the rest of civilization by finding him. I pray you are a better mother than you are a human being or that poor child is totally screwed. Yeah, maybe Elizabeth had her issues, but your total lack of empathy for the fact that you were screwing her HUSBAND and FATHER of her children, may you rot in hell for doing that. Have you NO shame?? And then to complain about Quinn deserving more of a father figure?? HELLO, maybe you should have thought about that before undressing. Shame on YOU. Anyway, good luck. Your child certainly needs it.
So much shock and awe I'm not sure I can pick a moment
Great performance by Cassandra.
Sick...it made me sick and she gives women in general a bad name. He was married for goodness sakes. Pick someone unmarried. It's easier and less painful.
Rielle and Johnny, please go somewhere and stay out of the public eye. No one wants to hear about your sick lives anymore. RIP Elizabeth.
"Winning with Pat"
I enjoyed listening to Pat's life story. The only part I didn't like is how Alzheimer's is now part of Pat's life. To get it at early onset as well is just the pits. Kudos to Pat for the many lives she has impacted and helped shape.
On a positive side, finally having a baby after so many miscarriages was terrific. Of course, all the wins and awards she and her teams achieved was wonderful.
There was a lot of emotion listening to the book instead of just reading it which really made the book come alive.
The making of a champion.
Highly recommend this book and not just to the sports enthusiast. It's a story of hard work and the rewards that follow or sometimes the rewards are not a trophy but instead growth and development that's takes you to the next level. Best wishes to Pat and her family.
"Beyond Belief is right"
Not sure I could listen to this book again. It was a great book but realizing how Jenna was robbed of a childhood along with the other children is heartbreaking. I didn't know much about Scientology before and wow...I know more than I want to now. No wonder Katie Holmes took off like she did!
This was a great book and a must read.
The narration was great.
Beyond Belief would be a good title.
"Great title for a great book"
The story line was incredible. Talk about a person's will to live being so strong!! I think God had a plan for Louie and what a life that was.
Too many memorable moments, both good and bad to pick one.
When Louie fulfilled his promise to God to serve him, not only was that a great moment, but also a moment that changed his life forever.
This book could have also been named An American Hero.
Thank you to the author for telling Louie's incredible tale.
"AWESOME"
Absolutely
The SEALS as a group. Their sacrifice, dedication is incredible.
So many moments that moved me. This is probably the best book I have "read" in years. Narration was fabulous and the story was rivoting. I could NOT stop listening. The only sad point to me is that our men and women who so bravely sacrifice and put their lives in danger aren't given more for their sacrifice. They deserve SO much better and so much more. God bless all our men and women in uniform and especially for the SEALs, GOD BLESS YOU.
"Awesome and inspirational book"
John's faith was inspirational
Despite incredible sad events, John never lost his faith.
His voice portrayed the sadness, grief, loss, and desperation.
I often wondered how he put one foot in front of the other and continued to live. I was amazed at how many awful events he endured in his life but continued to believe God would not forsake him.
May God's peace be with the Ramsey family.
"waste of time and a credit"
I have read every book by John Grisham and was thrilled to hear he had another book. What a HUGE disappointment! His narration of the book was the worst I have ever heard and the stories were about as interesting as an afternoon of cleaning toliets. I gave this book 1 star ONLY because this was his first disaster. He must have had some urgent bills to pay to release this mess.
