From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

Would you consider the audio edition of American Sniper to be better than the print version?

    of course. Would'nt anyone?

What other book might you compare American Sniper to and why?

Lone Survivor-The best reason for comparison is that Chris Kyle and Marcus Luttrell are cut from the same cloth. They are salt of the earth incredible modern warriors that without hesitation would lay down their lives to protect the greatest country in the world.

What does John Pruden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Feeling and connotation of the words allow for better understanding. When you hear someone telling a story that they lived it is easier to comprehend the reality of their heroic actions. It is certainly not the same but when you hear the story being told by a trained professional like John it is as close as you can get to hearing the story from Chris himself at a Bar-b-Que.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There is a moment early on where Chris describes his patriotism and honestly if every warrior on the American side shared his furor the very foundation of our enemies would shake with Fear.
