It's been seven years since the Seattle Strangler terrorized the city. His victims were all young, pretty, their lifeless bodies found wrapped in a home-sewn white dress. But there was one who miraculously escaped death, just before the Strangler disappeared. Lara Church has only hazy memories of her long-ago attack. What she does have is a home in Austin, a job, and a chance at a normal life at last. Then Texas Ranger James Beck arrives on her doorstep with shattering news: The Strangler is back....

Very entertaining with plenty of suspense! The story kept me listening anxiously all the way through, anticipating what would happen next. And when you think you have it figured out, events occur to make you reconsider. Purchased when I saw Johanna Parker narrated. She's one of my top favorites and she does a wonderful job!

For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.… A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

I listened to this again with the new narrator, but I still didn't find it that interesting. Didn't connect with the characters. The mystery part of it could have been entertaining, but the Eli and Abra distracted from it. I don't think it was the narrator as much as their personalities. There are several Nora Robert's books that I've listened to several times over, but this won't be one of them. Can't like them all I guess!

It's just seven days before Memorial Day, and a spike in CIA intelligence has pointed to a major terrorist attack on the United States. Now it's up to counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp to pull out all the stops. Rapp immediately leaves for Afghanistan, where he leads a special forces unit on a daring commando raid across the border into a remote Pakistani village. Their target: an al-Qaeda stronghold. Rapp and his team soon discover plans for a catastrophic nuclear attack on Washington, DC.

Loved this book--couldn't stop listening to it! My favorite in the series so far, though all have been impressive. Mr. Flynn keeps the story moving at high speed, yet manages to pull us along with him. Plus it seems all too plausible, from the threats themselves to the internal arguments. Can't wait to see what Mitch is up to in the next book!

On a hot July afternoon, a worker at an Antietam Creek construction site drives the blade of his backhoe into a layer of soil - and strikes a 5,000-year-old human skull. The discovery draws plenty of attention and a lot of controversy. It also changes the life of one woman in ways she never expected.

I was hesitant to listen to this because of the comments about the narrator, but I'm so glad I did. I enjoyed it very much. It was a good story with fun interaction between the characters. I'll listen again.

In her latest enchanting novel, New York Times best-selling author Sarah Addison Allen invites you to a quirky little Southern town with more magic than a full Carolina moon. Here two very different women discover how to find their place in the world - no matter how out of place they feel.

Enjoyed this book so much, in great part because of Rebecca Lowman's amazing narration. Her voice draws you in to begin with, but her ability to do distinctive voices really shines in this. I highly recommend it. Sweet story! I'll definitely listen again in a few months.

What made the experience of listening to The Shack the most enjoyable?

A wonderful book, very well narrated. Knowing the author's history in writing the book made it even better. I will definitely be listening to this at least once a year. Each time there is something different that stands out to me.

Would you consider the audio edition of Dead Center to be better than the print version?

I've never read a print version by David Rosenfelt, but greatly enjoyed the narrator and the story in this one. The tongue-in-cheek humor added to it.

    Any additional comments?

I'll definitely be listening to more of his books!
