"Over excited audience member"
I have always been a great fan of Eckhart Tolle and enjoy listening to his talks in his retreats.
However in this audiobook, from session three, there is a member of the audience whose over-enthusiastic laughter became more and more crazed as the session went on. It was funny at first but his incessant outbursts become quite irritating and annoying as the session progressed. I was rather distracted on my first listening and had to consciously block his outburst out on subsequent listenings. It was quite an effort.
"EXCELLENT!"
Really enjoyed listening to this book. It's packed with interesting and useful information and is also very well narrated.
"An indispensible tool for the investor"
This book is a great listen. It answers most of my questions about the stock market and stock trading. I had to listen to it many times to absorb the abundant tips and wisdom. Narrator's voice and reading pace is flawless. Highly recommended.
"A little devious"
When I selected this book, I had the impression from the summary that this is a new age spiritual book like those of Wayne Dyer or Eckhart Tolle. However, upon listening to it, I realised my mistake as references to God and quotations from the bible become more and more prevalent. The author then reveals that he was/is a catholic clergy and monk.
As I am not a Christian, I would not have selected this book if I known the leanings of the writer. Clever marketing at play I think. That said, I rather enjoyed this book and listened to the whole book in one sitting without once feeling overwhelm by it religious overtones.I like the open mindedness of the writer and his lack of arrogance.
If you are like me, not religious but open to other people's religion, I highly recommend the book 'Have a little faith' by Mitch Albon. It moved me to tears.
"A great privilege"
As a novice investor, I had taken a gambling mentality to stock trading until I read my first book on Warren Buffett. It was like an awakening and completely changed and educated me on how to look at stocks. I am forever grateful for the existence of this grand master.
This book is superbly written and I also like the narrator's slightly dreamy style. Overall, a very educational and enjoyable experience.
"Wonderful"
Great wisdom from the master. He's insightful and I always learn something new from him.
"A Great Read"
What a mess we have gotten ourselves into and all the governments in the US and EU are doing is 'kicking the can down the road' instead of finding and implementing real solutions. But then again our political system of 4-year term governments doesn't lend itself to dramatic and meaningful changes. Everyone is just buying time.
I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It is well written and I was intrigued from start to finish. The narration is superb and I highly recommend it to everyone.
"A True Gem"
One of the best books written about Buddhism and it's place in modern life. It is easily accessible and yet deeply profound. The narration is flawless. The reading pace and voice are perfect for the subject. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this beautifully crafted audible.
