Rosenblat's naration is first-rate. Giving each character a voice of their own, and lending an appropriate tone to the dialogue. This was truly a joy to listen to.
A book that will make you think about murder and killing in a whole new light. One that will make you ask yourself the questions, does killing someone always equal murder? Does killing by one's own hand mean justice is done?
Scottoline's flipping back from the past to the present will have you on the edge of your seat and eager for the next plot twist... Before long, you'll be hanging on her every word.
Child and Preston are at their satisfying best pairing our favorite FBI agent up with a teenage misfit to give this novel a sense of reality that is totally captivating. Deeply moving, spine-chilling and terrifying, this one will have you on the edge of your seat. Brick's naration just adds to the drauma. I'll be reading this one again!
This book is classic Davidson. The characters are rich, the story is at the same time normal for the series, while bringing a host of new elements into play. If you love a series in which the growth and change of the characters is plainly evident, this series is for you. I couldn't stop listening to this book!!!
If you like Kinsey, this book is for you. If you are new to the series, you might want to start with some of the other books as Sue Grafton has done much better. This book is as richly woven as any I've read, but the story drags in parts.
Barr again delivers us beautiful vistas, heart-stopping moments, a tender touch and a chilling plot twist that will keep you listening to the very end.
A chilling account of a murder-for-threat plot, a master manipulator and the tragedy of both victims and criminals. One of the best!
