"UGH... couldn't get through it."
From the description, this sounded right up my alley. Normally, this is exactly the type of book that I like.... but this one was painful. I just couldn't get through it. I feel like it just never took off....
"Why Guidall????"
I would recommend READING this book because George Guidall is the worst!!!
Mitch Rapp is awesome and the books keep getting better and better.
NEVER
Why George Guidall? Of all of the narrators that are Mitch Rapp's age, why on earth would you choose someone who makes every character sound like they are 70 years old? Irene Kennedy sounds like an old woman, Rapp sounds like a crotchety old man.... UGH! It's agony. I think I'm going to have to switch to READING the books because George Guidall's voice is bothering me more and more with each book that I listen to. UNFORTUNATELY, I've already purchased a good portion of the series in advance because I love Rapp so much....
"Rapp Rocks.... Guidall - not so much"
Scott Brick should have been Mitch Rapp! Or maybe Dennis Boutsikaris or Will Patton. You name it!!
George Guidall makes Mitch sound like an old man. Heck, he makes every character sound like an old man.... men, women, children... it's painful to listen to.
I love The Rapp series, but I cringe when I first start listening...
"revisited"
Read it in high school because I had to... bought it here because it was on sale and I wanted to
"HUGE FAN!!!"
I got turned on to Gayle Lynds when I realized that she was actually the author of some of the Robert Ludlum "Covert-One" novels. I enjoyed them so much that I began to look for her other books. This was my first and I was hooked! She is fantastic! Her characters are great and stories exciting and suspenseful!
I'm a big fan!!! If you like Ludlum, you'll love Gayle Lynds!
