Very interesting story. Very inspirational. Great if you enjoy real-life accounts. I'm sure I'll listen to it a third time. :-)
Great story, great narrator. This was different than what I expected based on the description. I knew it would be wonderful because it's a Lynn Austin but the story line was surprising even better than expected.
Reminded me of an adult version of the bible CDs I had as a kid. Would be great as an animated movie. Not my favorite but I'm still a BIG Lynn Austin fan. Narrator was quite skilled as well.
Not even Lynn Austin's very best but still WONDERFUL. Awesome characters, very inspirational and amazing narrator.
A great story blessed with Lynn Austin's gift for historical fiction. I very much appreciate her reliance on scripture as the basis for her stories.
I wasn't quite expecting this story line but it certainly intrigued me. It was my least favorite of the series but it was still a great book...that says alot.
Sooo very interesting and the series is quite educational along with the high entertainment value. A must read.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series...especially the first two books. I will listen to the entire series again!
The story was "ok" but certainly not the best Lisa Samson novel. However, the worse part was either the recording or the narrator. Her accent was great but it sounded like she had lots of saliva in her mouth for the entire recording. She was either smacking her lips/tongue or something else weird. It was very difficult to listen to. Perhaps it could just be the quality of the recording.
I am quickly becoming biased in favor of ANY Lynn Austin book. Her books are worth every penny that I spend. I always get a wonderful history lesson, feel like I'm getting a front seat perspective of the storyline, and get engrossed in the excellently developed characters. This story was sooooo good and had great narration. Highly recommeded.
Didn't think Tiger Lillie could be topped but this book was AMAZING. What a compelling story. You can't read this book and not be changed at least a little. Wonderful characters! It was also a treat to read about places that I know quite well in Lexington, KY. I will never forget May-May. :-)
