"Amazing"
This is the best book I have listened to on audible- beware you will not want to leave the car when you start!. The book itself is lovely and is strongly supported by a talented voice cast that bring the story alive. I feel sad that the book is over and I don't think I have ever felt that except when I listened to the Help. Run don't walk to snap up this gem!
"Striken with Overhyping"
Yes - Craig Wasson was awesome!
Let me say I loved the way Craig Wasson narrated this book and the story was a wonderful nastolgic story. I think i may have been striken with some overhyping on previous reviews so hence I thought I should weigh in. First of all I am not a huge Stephen King fan (definitely a scaredy cat) but thought the story sounded intriguing decided it was an awesome value for one credit at over thirty hours. I am now thinking maybe thirty hours for the story was too long or that maybe the story was really not that interesting in the first place - not 100% sure. While I'm not certain of the culprit, I can assure you that I did not end this book thinking my "value" for one my credit was achieved.
"Too many books narrated by the same person loses.."
I actually have quite a few titles from both and i think that is probably part of the problem. All of Molly Harper's audibles are read by the same person. While I dont find Amanda Ronconi voice annoying, the repetative use of the same vocal voice and the same writing voice (Molly Harper) is just too much. All of the characters end up sounding identical with similar lines and attitudes. Get a fresh vocal voice to give your characters some uniqueness - PLEASE!
