Better than the typical murder mystery. Looks at character flaws in all of the characters. Brilliant bitter sweet ending.
voice, inflection, adding him to my list of fav narrators.
bit of emo there
less trivia about herself, less whiney crap
I get to close my eyes and still read
some bits were amusing
More to the plot than boy meets girl, fights dragon and flees to the past.
lack of depth to storyline
Ability to keep reader listening
Is it possible to find out the genre of a book? I am not big on romantic stories that give little of substance re the plot.
the first book was great. Beginning, middle, resolution. I enjoy reading books in a series. One of my fav authors, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, writes over and over again about the same character BUT she had a beginning, middle and end. This book sucks. it is just a REALLY long intro to the 2nd half. Hold off & read the 2nd half.
The final book of the Dark Material trilogy is the best of the three. I like the quotes in front of each chapter. This book does for fantasy what DaVinci Code did for it's genre.
