Suppose you could ask God the most puzzling questions about existence, and God would provide clear, understandable answers? It happened to Neale Donald Walsch. Conversations with God is Neale Donald Walsch's account of his direct conversations with God, beginning in 1992 while Walsch was immersed in a period of deep depression. He composed a letter to God in which he vented his frustrations, and much to his surprise, even shock, God answered him.

I had read some of this author's books several years ago and enjoyed them. I thought this was the same book, but it was very different. I thought it was very far-fetched and unbelievable.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

This book was spell-binding. I've read some criticism of the ending.....I thought the ending was awesome. Can't explain why or I'd give it away.

Funnyman Adam Carolla is known for two things: hilarious rants about things that drive him crazy and personal stories about everything from his hardscrabble childhood to his slacker friends to the hypocrisy of Hollywood. He tackled rants in his first book, and now he tells his best stories and debuts some never-before-heard tales as well. Adam Carolla started broke and blue collar and has now been on the Hollywood scene for over 15 years. Yet he never lost his underdog demeanor.

Ron says: "Must have for any Adam Carolla Fan!"

This book was not funny at all. He was rambling all over the place, writing about uninteresting minutia. Very tedious. I tried, but couldn't finish listening to it. I know he's raunchy and I'm not easily offended, but the foul language was just ridiculous and over done.

We are accustomed to think of sociopaths as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary people, one in 25, has an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in 25 everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a sociopath.

This book was so informative and interesting. I've listened to it a few times already and feel it is important for everyone to know about this disorder. I've was married to a sociopath and this book both helped me make sense of a person I could never figure out and also made me understand that I'm not alone in being "taken" by one of these dangerous people. Ioved the narration...perfect.

Based on more than 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.

    Story

Interesting story, but left me feeling kind of sad. Obviously Mr. Jobs was brilliant and accomplished, but his inability to establish kind and loving relationships made me feel sorry for him and those who had to deal with him. I enjoyed parts of the book, but at times it was tedious.
