"Good insight on JFK - Well-written book."
I've read many books on JFK, and this one is a favorite. Great detail and well-researched. Enjoy!
"This story a CLASSIC! Loved it!"
Stephen King has done it again. Time travel and suspense. Great mix. Couldn't stop listening. Worth every penny!
"Secret Service with Republican bias"
Funny how Kessler has nice things to say about all the Republican presidents, but trashes the Democratic ones. Lots of mundane details about the politics of Secret Service lifestyle. Who cares? Not enough behind-the-scenes on the presidential details.
"Interesting, but wooden narration from Shatner"
There are some good behind the scenes stories here for Trekkies to enjoy, but Shatner's monotone narration was dissapointing. Worth a listen if you are a die-hard ST fan (and you can get this title on sale).
"Big dissapointment. Save your money Disney fans"
Terrible. Never gets going. Couldnt make it past the first hour. Waste of time and money.
"Rare instance where movie better than book"
This book does not have the excitement of the movie. I kept waiting for things to get going, and felt unsatisfied at the end. A waste of time.
"Excellent story. Different from movie."
Well worth a listen! Enjoyable tale of summer with different twists than the movie. A satisfying listen. The narrator does a fine job too.
"Keep listening for many hours of enjoyment"
This wonderful book starts slow for the first 2 hours or so, but the remaining 46 are a great listen. The narrator is not great at the start, but does a great job with dialogue between the many players. I've read this book a couple of times many years ago, and what a pleasure it was to listen to the action and adventure at my own pace. The character interaction is memorable, and I found this book to be worth the expense. Was sorry to see it end.
"1776 one of my favorite Revolutionary war books"
This book is so well-written, and McCullough is wonderful reading his own material. This is worth a repeat listen. Highest praise!
"Worth the ride across with Washington!"
This book is a wonderful listen. You'll have a new respect for George Washington and the remarkable feats he accomplished. The pre and post crossing stories are great too. Runger first class job as narrator.
