This was without a doubt one of the best Dave R. novels so far. It held you and gave you a graphic image of Southern Louisiana and the human condition, not to mention the hurt man visits on man. I love all of Mr. Burke's books and was not disappointed.
I just completed reading/listening to Brimstone for the second time. I love Scott Brick as Pendergast and wish he did them all ~ R. Auberjonois is ok but his narration is so bland. The story is in true Pendergast tradition ~
I am a fan of many of Ms Coulter's novels, and this one was ok, but the narration was so annoying it was hard to concentrate on the story.
Get a different narrator ~ Simon Prebble, Davina Porter ~ anyone but who is doing it.
Yes. It is so entertaining. A real nailbiter. I guessed who the bad guy was but not the circumstances.
When all was revealed.
He gave great nuance to each character.
I hope Audible so adds the Event series by this author.
I have read this book twice and listened to it twice. I love it!!! I also thing Frank Muller is an excellent narrator. When I see his name along with Scott Brick and George Guidall I know it will be a great listen. Jack is a unique individual and he is determined.
This was an excellent read/listen. I guess it was kind of predictable as I guessed the end before I got there :-). I completely enjoyed it and look forward to sequels. The narration, as usual, was super. Of course I am a little biased as I love all Mr. Baldacci's books.
Have read Mr. Rosenberg before and enjoyed his books, but this was more than anticipated. I did not expect or enjoy 13 hours of proselytizing. Mr. Lane was excellent.
