Loved the story.
Anne Hathaway brings the story to life.
We listened to the audiobook on a very long drive with the kids. They asked to listen to it again at bedtime.
I would give a qualified recommendation for this book.
I almost gave up on this title because of the poor narrative performance. Annoying inflections when attempting to speak as any of the characters. Mispronunciations surprising. I finally sped up playback which helped noticeably.
I loved Grim Noir books. This first monster hunter book was slightly less successful.
Opening fight scene.
I'm not sure if I will finish the series, although liked it in general. Too much focus on models of guns and weapons. Battle scenes feel routine over time. I may try the next book after a break.
I would not recommend. Writing style is not very original. Performance is stiff.
Older. Stiff. Paul Harveyesque.
My first Koontz book. Unimpressed, but may try one more before giving up on him.
Amazing to hear in Barack Obama's own voice
Ready by author
Written before Obama became Senator although his keynote address to Democratic Convention was included after book was written. Incredibly honest attempt to discuss the complex issue of race in America.
Steve Jobs is a unique human being. This is the authoritative biography by an author who was given access to key people who interacted with Steve Jobs. Not entirely flattering, but honest and informative.
