"Great Story, great characters!"
Masterful, intriguing, actionpacked.
There are plenty of memorable moments, but of the many I can think of, the dropping off of the one who caused the whole mess, in "el ano".
I could listen to Gurner read the NYS vehicle and traffic law. Jeff excells at creating the voices of the characters and just has an energy about telling the story. The guy is a narrating genius.
Something over dramatic like "Rogue; Thief of thieves"
"Greatness that follows greatness."
This book rocks just like its first part ""Daemon". The tech and AWESOME characters make for an amazing, captivating and thrilling story that just sucks you in and leaves you wanting more.
Definetly I would have to compare it to Daemon, by the the same author.
Jeff just translates the story and book fantastically. He puts the right emotion into each character, leaving you with the sense that you've come to KNOW these characters as if they were more than just part of a story.
This book made me want to cry when I finished it because I didn't want it to end! The story line however DOES bring you to moments when you could just reach in and beat one or two of the characters, but it also just as well presents characters that make you wish you could take them out and buy them a cup of coffee for some conversation.
"Captivating and suspenseful, loaded with tech!"
I would recommend this book to ANYONE, fan of tech or not. The story is compelling and full of great characters that follow an amazing story line.
My favorite character would have to be John Ross... Mysterious, shady, but apparently a tech force to be reckoned with.
Gurner just translates and gives the story a dynamic feel that would be difficult to obtain by just reading the book. His ability to give each character their own identifying voices is superb.
There were moments where I laughed, but there were a few "oh, my mouth is hanging open for 20 minutes" moments while listening...
Great book, great story. Suarez hits it out of park on this one.
