"Did someone else write this?"
Grey Man was a wild ride that kept me turning the pages and holding my breath. In this one, the Grey Man makes bizarre decisions that completely shatter the willing suspension of disbelief. His supporting protagonist female character is shallow and completely unbelievable, and Jay Snyder reads her in a voice of 10 year old girl which actually fits the character quite well further adding to the disjointed and amateurish feel of the book. Instead of deepening and developing the characters, they become shallow and unbelievable. I'm really disappointed as I counted the days until the next Grey Man novel.
"One of the best Reacher novels yet"
Wow. I have read a lot of reacher novels and they are all good but this one was great. Impeccably researched and flawlessly executed crime drama with Reacher in the middle of it. Dick Hill's usual perfect narration job.
"Book is OK, narration is terrible."
The narrator is unlistenable. He hyper-pronunciates (aviator is read as AV EE AYE TOR) and doesn't bring the story to life. I wish I had checked the reviews before I bought it.
