"Polished Carolla"
Loved it???.. totally worth spending a credit, very fun to hear these stories told by the author. Each chapter is filled with fun and impressive stories backed up with thoughtful life lessons. This book should be considered therapy for both Carolla and the reader. I kind of hate his mom after hearing some of the crappy things she put him through.
"Not River of Doubt"
Very interesting story, full of villains and heroes. After a few hours the facts seem to be just a little too accurate for such a long time ago. The story unnecessarily drags on.
The story lost credibility by the time of the assassination. Again too many facts that are conveniently woven into the narrative. I did not need to know that Garfield's father in law was with the presidents children at the time of that assassination. Move along!
Ya, maybe the detailed story about Garfield's undertaker and how he had the worlds most complete used stamp collection.
No
"Slow and boring"
This book was not what was advertised. No new information, just a money grab by the author. Don't waste a credit.
"OK....go for the abridged"
I believe most these reviews are planted by the publisher. 5 stars......really? The plot becomes so poor and flawed you feel dumb just for continuing to listen. The abridged version would be entertaining, yet not waste 4 hours of your life with unnecessary twists and implausible violence. I wish I had the credit back.
"BRAIN SURGERY WITHOUT ANESTHETIC"
This book was writen to be a bad movie.
Lots of tech lingo with weak clich? characters. Big mean FBI guys and perverted evil nerd villains. Don't waste your time.
"18 hours you will never get back"
Run away.....poor plot, crappy characters and really bad science. Dan Brown sold a weak book on the merits of his past work.
