"FREE Short Story!"
Thoroughly enjoyed this listen. It was free as a Christmas gift from Audible and I just now listened to it. Was very enjoyable!
"Enjoyable"
Got off to a slow start on this one. Nearly didn't proceed...but, glad I did. I think I should have listened to the first book in this series rather than start with the second...then, the start would have been better.
I truly enjoyed this book and will now go back and start with the first one before proceeding to the third. The story was well written and interesting to follow. I truly did not want it to end.
It took some time to get used to the "reader". He is not what I expected. That being said, I will listen to the rest of the series and he is the "reader". Guess he wasn't that bad!
"A true soul searching book"
This is one of my favorite books. I am a hiker and a person who loves a challenge. This is a true story about a young womans search for herself. She set a goal and found herself through the process of finishing what she started.
I have recommended this book to those who want to read for enjoyment and who might need a little soul searching for themselves. It proves that you can find yourself no matter where you are in life if you have the courage to search.
"Love Susan Elizabeth Phillips"
Good read! Started slow but once it got going, I loved it. Susan Elizabeth Phillips is becoming one of my favorite authors! This one was not as good as Glitter Baby but was right up there. You would not be wasting a credit on either of these books. They are the kind that you can't wait to get back to and are sorry when they are finished.
"Really Enjoyed!"
This was one of those books that I was sorry to see end. It started a bit slow and got better and better. I laughed out loud in parts which is not easy to make me do. It was entertaining and I now look forward to reading other books by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Hope they are as entertaining as this one was!
"Great Series!"
Loved this series (3). This book was a little hard to listen to at first because the narrator's accent is British. But, once I got into the story, I didn't notice. Very entertaining. Hope there is a 4th in the series coming out soon. If you like James Patterson's detective novels, you will love this series.
"Glad I read it."
I am having trouble with this review. This book was really a good story. It was long, and at times, it was hard to listen to because of prison violence and the loss of friends. But, it certainly kept you listening and was different than other James Patterson books I have listened to. Overall, I am glad that I purchased this book and would recommend it to others. A good, packed, well written book.
"Enjoyed!"
The Second Book in the "Private" series did not dissappoint. I loved the first book, "Private" and this one was equally as good. The book has 2-3 on-going mysteries and keeps your attention popping. The characters are believable, authentic and the story line makes you want to go into detective work yourself. Presently, listening to the 3rd book in the series. Look forward to more!
"Great Entertainment"
I really enjoyed this book. It is another good one from James Patterson, et al. The story line had 3 different murders working at the same time and they each had their drama and nail biting suspense. The author brings them all together ..... each with different outcomes. I love the Private cast of characters and have already downloaded the next 2 books in the sequence. I totally enjoyed listening to this book.
"A Thinker."
As with most books of this genre, your thinking is taken to another level. For those of us who are "seekers", books by Timothy Keller are always introspective. Generous Justice makes a point of ensuring that the reader understand that service to others is an important part of living God's plan. I found myself "going back 30 seconds" many times to grasp a concept that was important to me.
The bad part about this audible book is that the narrator, Tom Parks, speaks entirely too fast. Maybe it is just me....but, I like to think about the words being spoken and he went too fast to enable me to properly do so.
All in all - Yes .... this book is worth the time and will enable you to understand why serving others is an important part of serving God.
