"Oh my gosh!"
The story was terribly written.
No, actually I read a lot of this genre.
He had a great voice, and command of the essence of Rod Stewart.
I was very disappointed with quality of the writing.
Given the material that he had to pull from. He wasted so much time on the drugs and the alcohol. I doubt that I will ever listen to an autobiography of another performer.
"You have got to read this!"
Laura is an amazing author. The research and time that she puts into writing these books is unbelievable. The quality of the writing keeps you interested in the book as you just relax and get to the story cause you aren't worried about other distractions.
I loved this book.
"Lots of Laughs"
This was a fun read. I laughed out loud so many times. Interesting story and nice history of computers. Nice to see the personal side of growing up as a computer engineer.
The performance was good. The story was good. I was always interested in the back story that never made it to the mainstream.
"The Best!"
Loved very second of this book. Couldn't stop reading this book. Stayed in the car, didn't answer the phone when reading.
I was sad when the book was done. I will and have gone back to read it again, and again.
"Boring"
I have yet to be bored by a book till I read this one. Not sure exactly where this book was going most of the time. It was way out of sync and the reader was not able to engage me in the book. Thankfully it was a short book.
"Interesting"
Interesting to see the way google works. Not something that I would read again. Once is enough.
"At first I a was worried."
I had read Pillars and was afraid that this was going to be not enough of a story to keep me involved. Forget about that worry, off and running. I was engaged from the minute that the book started till the book finished. Many times I would wait in the car till I reached the next chapter.
John Lee is a great narrator and he has all the accents and the variations of dialect. What a great way to read a book about an era that I was little or none informed about.
The writing is well done, not surprised by Ken Follett. He carries all the characters through and is very good at crafting a story based on actual events.
"I wished it was better"
If could have been a bit more enchanting.
Anything else but this.
Never.
This book was terrible from the outset. Hard to follow and difficult to listen too. I had to find other things to read in between. I am not sure that this explanation of all the background was worth the time it took to finish this.
