He has been passionate about personal development for over 50 years, and for the first time, he teaches everything he has gleaned about what it takes to reach our potential. Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This book provides a good reminder of the activities required to continue to grow personally and professionally. However, there is not much new or groundbreaking, and I felt the topic could have been covered in about half the length of time.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    No.

Most of us think of sales as convincing potential customers to believe or do something they don't really want to. But that cutthroat mentality makes the process much harder than it has to be—especially in an economic downturn, when customers are more suspicious and defensive. It's far more productive (and satisfying) when salespeople think like Go-Givers and focus exclusively on creating value for the customer.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

"Go-Givers Sell More" encapsulates many of my observations from years of sales. I have always had a "gut feel" about concepts like paying forward and providing value to every prospect you touch, but authors Burg and Mann take it a step further and provide a framework for these practices. This is especially valuable for people just getting in to sales as traditional sales training does not generally provide this insight. I have recommended it to several people.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I've listened to this in the car, generally in 20 to 30 minute segments. I've listened to the book in its entirety twice.
