Great historical book, but does not deserve the pump Audible.com made of it. I sad I've wasted the money to purchase it.

The writer got totally confused between the Sunnis and the Shiites. That's a bad one.

Better than the movie. Good reflection of High-class English life before and during the 2nd War.A totally different king of story telling.

I'm starting to feel uncomfortable buying American publications. Why all this concentration on religion? In this case it not just the Iranian imam. Each one of the main characters is going through mental self-torture with his/her religious conflicts. In reality, not every human being is religiously nuts! Enough of it! The funniest part was the author's description of the Israeli prime minister praying to a god during his government meeting. This never happened and will never take place. The basic Israeli does not pray. They must be on a higher level than we are!

I've learned from historical literature that, once they've established themselves as a monotheistic nation, it took the average people of Israel ages to drop all of their pagan habits and worship. But in this book we're talking about the year 70, that's centuries past their existence as non-idol worshipers. To base an entire historical book on magic seeking Israelis is a bit odd. Those people did not go to Massada because they've put their trust in God. They went there because it was a fortress, which they thought was impenetrable.

I was also disappointed that the writers failed to find narrators who could pronounce the natives' words correctly. Their narrotors hesitation, when time came to pronounce any of these words, is terribly detectable.

I liked it. I've learnt a lot from listening to it. I hope to find similar books on Audible .com

People in mental institutions may like it.

I bought this book as a way to understand Mormonism, in case it will become a subject in the upcoming presidential elections. I was terribly disappointed to discover that this is not a book explaining in a neutral prospective the Mormon believes, but instead, it's trying to explain why Christianity is better than Mormonism. In the process, it's also trashing Judaism. In the worst case of cultural annihilation, the author translates the most important historical saying of the Jewish people, "Shma Israel," as saying "His name is Joshua".

It's a shame Audible.com represents this book as a non-fiction. It should be placed in the "Hate-Literature" section.

A waist of time. I used to admire the Bourne books, but this one is not matching their standards. Also, the audio special effects are idiotic.
