"Another hit"
I love the audio editions because I travel so much. Although I do have to admit that I occasionally listen to them when I'm not traveling - and this was one. Since I listen to the unabridged versions, it's the same as reading the book, and the different actors are portrayed wonderfully by Susan.
I would compare this to other "in Death" books. It's a series that I love.
There were several new characters in this book and she does a great job with the voices.
This book was so good, I listened to it when I wasn't travelling - but because I couldn't put it down.
"Another hit"
I love the intertwining of the relationships with the fates.
I love the Irish family. The personalities of the individual members were realistic of what real family relationships are.
This was the first time I've listening to Bernadette Quigley and I thought she did a wonderful job handling all the different characters. I always knew who was speaking.
I didn't listen to this in one sitting, but I did extend my listening by an hour twice. My audible account is my luxury because I travel for work and these books help pass the time.
Another hit for Nora Roberts - well done!
"Another hit"
Since I listen to unabridged versions, I consider it the same - but the character voices are provided for me.
Holly and the Captain in the cave.
He does a nice job with all the character voices and portraying their feelings.
Holly's lose of her mentor.
"A great story"
exciting, surprising, unexpected
The Percy Jackson books, and the Artimis Fowl book are similar in the fact that they are both mystery books aimed at pre-teens. Both are great books that more students should read and great examples of written literacy.
He needs to work on differencing between the characters. Develop more voices. His reading is smooth - just not attention grabbing.
Not particularly, due to the reader, but the story line is good.
"A nice change"
I am a great fan of the "in Death" books by J D Robb aka Nora Roberts. Since I am an avid reader/listener, I usually read/listen faster than they write. Another favorite author is James Patterson. I would rate this book right up there with those books.
See, the twists the turns, the control exhibited by the title character.
The title character. Julia needs to work on the leading man.
I cried at the relationship of the main character and her mother. I laughed at her reaction to his family.
"Great suspense"
Suspense
I enjoyed the personality of Number One
The reactivation of the elder demons
The underdog demon (Number One) turning out to be the greatest demon ever. Also, this book gives you a different perception of the Irish demons.
"Artimis and his twin"
Different, funny, complex
The softer side of Artemis that professed his true feeling for Holly. I laughed outloud.
Artemis' alter ego expressing his true feeling for Holly and her reactions.
Artemis - just another teen.
"An interesting story"
There is little difference since I listen to the unabridged versions. The benefit is the voices provided by Nathaniel. I don't have to provide them,
It's a time travel book. It was a little confusing going back and forth.
Nathaniel brings the voices of the characters. His voices help me keep track of who's speaking so I don't have to think about it. It. like listening to a movie. A good narrator is very important. Nathaniel does a good job.
The Present vs. the Past for the Future
"great end to a series"
Rick Riodan's final story is outstanding. Twists and turns and yet the prophecy is fulfilled. Very well written.
Rick does a great job filling in backgrounds and giving details even if you are a new listener.
Jesse doesn't do a good job differeniating between characters. Sometimes they all run together. He has some potential, but needs work.
I loved the story and really wanted to know how it ended. It was so good, I spent an evening at home listening to it. I usually do all my listening when I travel. I got started on this story and didn't want to stop.
