In this business parable, Alex Rogo is the manager of a failing manufacturing plant who receives an ultimatum from corporate headquarters: turn the situation around in three months or the plant will be scrapped. With help from a mysterious mentor, Rogo discovers a revolutionary new way to do business - a way for people in any field of endeavor to increase productivity, profitability, and personal fulfillment.

Doug says: "A Novel Based on Operations Research"
    "A compelling listen"
    Overall

I picked up this audio book even though I had read the printed version several years ago. The audio experience of this masterpiece is even better! Whether you are a student of science, a project manager or working in manufacturing organizations or IT... the Theory of Constraints has its application in each field. The Goal explains the Theory of Constraints via a fictional story. If you want to understand ToC, start here and do not miss the other books (Its Not Luck, Critical Chain and ToC).

    "Superbly Entertaining"
    Overall

Set in a semi-modern London, this is a story of the magician boy Nathaniel, Kitty and a genie with an attitude. An engrossing story, a funny genie with an attitude and a superb narration by Simon Jones makes for a great reading. This is the third book in the series and I encourage you to read the other two as well.
