Grace has taken care of her widowed father her entire adult life and the ornery old goat has finally died. She has no job, no skills and very little money, and has heard her father's prediction that no decent man would ever want her so often she accepts it as fact.

Would you listen to One More Summer again? Why?

Yes. I enjoyed all of the characters stories. The narrator did a great portrayal of all. I thought the storyline was good. There was a lot going on for a bit but it kept me focused.

What did you like best about this story?

The relationship between Promise and Grace. I admire Grace, taking on the weight of the world. Unselfish, caring and giving but closed off. Possibly a candidate for a good role model?

    Which scene was your favorite?

The reading of Lucy Maude Montgomery's books.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Many. To many to list. It was emotional but worth the read for me. I liked the drama.

    Any additional comments?

To the gazebo incident: it probably wasn't necessary with everything else. Good tie in to the story, Liz. Ugh. It didn't ruin or taint anything else. It was like a band aid, ripped off fast.

Sean Kowalski no sooner leaves the army than he's recruited by Emma Shaw to be her fake fiance;. Emma needs to produce a husband-to-be for her grandmother's upcoming visit, and, though Sean doesn't like the deception, he could use the landscaping job Emma's offering while he decides what to do with his civilian life. And, despite his attraction to Emma, there's no chance he'll fall for a woman with deep roots in a town he's not planning to call home.

Where does Yours to Keep rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

No tears for me but a lot of laughs. I liked the Kowalski family dynamic and both of the main characters had there own charm. I did predict the ending but it was such a perfect note to a great book. Thank you Shannon Stacey.
