From David Baldacci - the modern master of the thriller and number-one worldwide best-selling novelist - comes a new hero: a lone Army Special Agent taking on the toughest crimes facing the nation. John Puller is a combat veteran and the best military investigator in the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigative Division. His father was an Army fighting legend, and his brother is serving a life sentence for treason in a federal military prison. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

As a fan, this early book is compelling. However, the author has greatly refined his style and improved his storytelling in later years.

What did you like best about this story?

    I enjoyed this storyline.

What didn’t you like about Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance?

I am not a fan of the female narrator... has been in several other books by Turrow, Patterson and David Baldacci's. She is smooth but seems to be more suited for another genre.

Mclary has done a superb job with some

Do you think Zero Day needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I would like to see Puller revisted.

The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

This book has had so much press I had to check it out...... The narrator is not suited for the theme of the story. An irritating voice for certain. The story itself isn't really new or even as sensual as I expected. I should have saved my credit.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

As much as we would like to deny this was close to the truth...it is not. The narration makes this story that much more interesting and entertaining. Definitely one of the best books of the year.

It was one of Eve Dallas’s earliest takedowns, back in her uniform days. A monster named Isaac McQueen had been abducting young victims and leaving them scarred in both mind and body. Thanks to Eve, he wound up where he belonged, removed from civilized society in Rikers. But he’s not behind bars anymore. After his escape, McQueen has two things in mind. One is to take up where he left off, preying on the young and innocent - when necessary, with the help of a female partner all too willing to be manipulated and to aid and abet his crimes.

In a New York City fifty years in the future, Detective Eve Dallas tracks down those who break the law - including the ones sworn to uphold it. Eve Dallas and her partner, Peabody, are following up on a brutal, senseless crime - an elderly grocery owner killed by three stoned punks for nothing more than kicks and snacks. And for the first time, Peabody is primary detective on the case, which means she has to get used to a new level of authority and responsibility. Good thing she learned the ropes from a master like Eve. But after rounding up the perps, Peabody stumbles upon a much trickier situation.

This is the best so far! Peabody is coming into her own and Dallas and Roarke are there to support her. I eagerly await each new installment and they do not disappoint! Susan Ericksen is the perfect narrator for this series! I dare say the next In Death book may even top this one!

    Overall

Great action, romance and suspense. The story line was good, fast paced. The narrator is a bit distracting for me as the characters are sometimes indistinguishable. Her voice also takes me to the J.D. Robb characters and accents and throws me off.

Nora Roberts is always a good time!
