I think this book makes some good points, but it is very dated and all of the examples are about men. I think there are some better books out there that are more modern and inspiring.

I listened to this because my daughter had to read it for eight grade. I probably would not have read it if otjerwise, but I am glad that I did. The narrator was very good and the story kept me engaged.

I read this book from the perspective of 'parent' and found it quite enlightening. My children are involved in activities outside of school and this book gave me some sense of what math clubs, competitive soccer, piano, and other activities will do for my children as well as what they will not do. It left me with the final query of whether I would even want to wish genius upon my children.

I loved this book. I learned a lot about Mormons and polygamy reading this. This book contains two parallel stories, one of modern day polygamy and one of the beginnings of polygamy in Utah and how it became illegal. I live in Utah, but am not a native, so I found this absolutely fascinating. I highly recommend it to anyone as it is a riveting story.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. I almost stopped listening in the first part because I thought the story was dull and uninspiring, but I was determined to get through it and I am very glad I did. Have patience with it. It pulls together many scientific / sociological studies into one fictional story. I have thought about it and brought it up in conversation many times since reading it.

I got this for my son (9), who is learning to deal with anxiety. I played it for him tonight and he was very excited and fell right off to sleep without a worry. What a gift for all of us.

I learned a lot about myself listening to this book. It asks questions that really make you think about what you are doing and why. I was on the verge of making some big mistakes and this book helped me think through it all and look in a direction more suited to my interests. I highly recommend it if you are trying to figure out what you want to do with your life and aren't really sure. I am a mom of two and this inspires me to nurture my children's passions so that some day they will find meaningful employment.
