I kind of expected this book to be hilarius like a James Harriot novel but it wasn't. Didn't finish it. Linda
I listened to the book including the fluff of the silly sex scene and endured that but listening to the jury folks dialogue was the pits. I'm still listening to the story but have fast forwarded most of the "click" parts. You'll know when you get there. Could have been a good trial book but.....this needs to 'Get Real'
The book kept me interested and I mean interested. I couldn't even watch the golf match on T.V. which is highly unusual.
Kept me interested the whole way through. I would love another book in this series ASAP. Reader is wonderful!
The line below comes from another reviewer for another book, however, I thought it was so true about Vengeance
'This book goes on and on with small details about things that just does not matter'.
I just couldn't finish it.
Tried listening to it once, gave up on it quickly then after tried again when I had no more books left to read but gave up again. I did try to like it. The paranormal didn't bother me, it was to my mind a limpid story. Reader's accent was a bit too much also.
I found the story hokey in parts but if it wasn't for that it would have been good as usual.
In a quiet room, one can hear a background voice echo, otherwise a good book
The book held my interest the whole way through although I was going to give up at the beginning as it was quite a shocking start but read on folks as it is a GOOD book.
I really don't think adding children's dialogue into a mystery is such a good idea. Mentioning them here and there as part of the detectives lives is just fine but I don''t care to hear much more from or about them. It's a detective story is it not? Reader is good even if he had to play the part of a little girl ;-)
Too strange for me. Strange kids, strange John. It was difficult to get into the story and once I was there, disliked the strange story as well.
