"Entertaining!"
The reader was very good with a fairly authentic accent, made for a good listen.
Sometimes we need an uncomplicated book, one that is just fun and this one fits the bill. A good listen, I enjoyed it.
"Disappointing"
I have always been a big David Baldacci fan starting with Absolute Power and since have read everything he has written. Unfortunately he has strayed a long way from his earlier books and this last one was really nothing but a lot of shooting and blowing things up. There was very little actual story and consequently I felt very little if anything for the characters. Now I don't mind a bit of violence as long as there is a good story that goes with it but come on, give us someone to care about!
I do realize there are some that like that sort of thing and I guess DB has decided to appeal to those people but I for one long for the stories of Oliver Stone, Absolute Power, Wish You Well, etc, etc.
The readers were quite good and the sounds impressive sadly, that's about the only good thing I can say about the book.
"Riveting"
No, I never listen to stories more than once.
The resolution
The emotions
If you're a mystery, suspense lover you will love this book.
"A Thriller!"
No. I don't listen to books more than once
A newspaper writer searching for justice
When Hunter was at the McBain meeting
Who deserves justice, the victim or the criminal?
"An enjoyable little Christmas mystery"
I didn't read the book so no opinion
It had a very interesting ending. While I'm very good at guessing 'who done it' I didn't guess this one until right at the end.
Very good narrator
Not moved me no. But there were a couple of surprises.
I would recommend this book and not just at Christmas time as Christmas didn't really enter into very much other than the holiday season.
"Cute"
I didn't read but realized I had seen the movie...Christmas with the Kranks
Nothing stands out
I enjoyed all of it
It was short so fairly easy to do that.
"Wonderful Book!"
No. Only because I don't listen to books a second time
A lovely story about a very good man that didn't have a lot but loved what he did and loved life.
Honestly there are too many to pick just one.
I can't imagine anyone that wouldn't love this book.
"Good Story. Not such a good narrator"
I very much liked this story however I almost stopped listening in the beginning as the narrator sounded very whiney and annoying. If you stick with it past the first few chapters the narration improves though could be better.
It kept me interested, not necessarily on edge of seat.
Whiney, annoying
"Good But Not My Favorite Inspector Gamache Mystery"
I didn't read the print version so no opinion.
Yes, for those that enjoy Inspector Gamache mysteries.
Not that I'm aware.
No, nothing extreme
Ralph Cosham was an excellent narrator. I would love to hear more by him.
"Wonderful!"
I loved everything about this book. Well written with brilliant characters and a fabulous story. Elizabeth McGovern was a brilliant reader and gave a very clear picture of each character. This is a story that grabs you from the very first and doesn't let go until the very last word.
