Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership. In exchange for help finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. Having narrowly averted an (under)world war, Cat Crawfield wants nothing more than a little downtime with her vampire husband, Bones. Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans’ voodoo queen just keeps on giving - leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous spirit. Centuries ago, Heinrich Kramer was a witch hunter. Now, every All Hallows Eve, he takes physical form to torture innocent women before burning them alive.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

MacKayla Lane was just a child when she and her sister, Alina, were given up for adoption and banished from Ireland forever. Twenty years later, Alina is dead and Mac has returned to the country that expelled them to hunt her sister’s murderer. But after discovering that she descends from a bloodline both gifted and cursed, Mac is plunged into a secret history: an ancient conflict between humans and immortals who have lived concealed among us for thousands of years.

"Loved it but be sure to start with book 1"
    Overall

This was one of the best series. Karen Moning's writing was amazing. Search for "Shadowfever quotes" on the web to see what I mean. One that really got to me was when she was talking about death. "Time heals...No, it doesn't...." Of course everyone has different tastes but if you search reviews you will see that the majoritiy of readers loved it. They cried, They laughed, They sat on the edge of their seats. I loved the chemistry between Mac and Barrons, the action, mystery, adventure and romance. To really enjoy it, you have to start with book 1. Shadowfever is the 5th one.

MacKayla Lane's life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she's your perfectly ordinary 21st-century woman. Or so she thinks...until something extraordinary happens.

Just wanted to encourage all Sci-Fi readers to check out this series. I think you will love it.
And dont miss the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.
At this time Audibon only has 1 of that series. Sure hope they get the whole series. It's about Chicago's only Wizard. It's full of action. I love it when Dresdon raises a Dinasaur to fight the bad guys. All the books are terrific.
