Life Without Limits is an inspiring book by an extraordinary man - Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms or legs but overcame his disability to live not only independently, but to live a rich, fulfilling life that is a model for anyone seeking true happiness. Now an internationally successful motivational speaker, his key message is letting people know the importance of finding your life's purpose - even through pain.

I could not stop thinking about this book. I love Nick's spirit, his passion for life and his desire to make sure that the world knows how lucky we are. From his incredible stories of compassion and triumph to his quirky jokes I couldn't wait to listen to this book. I look forward to hearing more and I think every child should listen to or read this book.

A dangerous, homeless drifter who grew up picking cotton in virtual slavery. An upscale art dealer accustomed to the world of Armani and Chanel. A gutsy woman with a stubborn dream. A story so incredible no novelist would dare dream it.

Part of the reason I pick the books I do from Audible. com is so that I can be uplifted. I truly felt like I was changed after this book. I can certainly say I won't look at homelessness in the same way. I liked the relationship that Denver and Ron had and I feel liked I learned a lot from the relationship Denver had with God. Certainly a book that makes you think a little about our prejudices against Black/white, homelessness, and frankly even God. I liked the book.

  • 365 Thank Yous: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed My Life

One recent December, at age 53, John Kralik found his life at a terrible, frightening low: his law firm was failing; he was struggling through a second divorce; he was living in a tiny apartment where he froze in the winter and baked in the summer. Then, during a walk in the hills on New Year’s Day, John was struck by the belief that his life might become at least tolerable if, instead of focusing on what he didn’t have, he could find some way to be grateful for what he had.

    Overall

I was excited to listen to this book, mainly because of the topic of gratitude and for the most part that message came through. However, I have to say I found the author's ramblings about the bad parts of his life a bit self serving at times, especially when followed up with the fact he was an attorney and he was divorced and lived in a bad apartment etc, etc. Sometimes I didn't want to hear about his "situation" and felt like the book didn't need it to make the point. The power of the thank you was enough to fill the pages, the stories of his friends that overcame and one's courage even as he succumbed to cancer were powerful and made the book a strong message that I will carry and in the end made it a good read. I appreciated what the author did to thank people for being thoughtful, nice, aware, and even just present. That made the book memorable in my mind and actually one of my favorite parts is at the end when he lists all of those people. Thank YOU!!!!!

When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they weren’t expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed—a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary, detailing their little boy’s trip to heaven and back.

Great story to make you think that there is something out there that is much bigger than we are. I enjoyed it and appreciated the innocence of the child and the purity of what he saw. I appreciated the way the parents hesitated to bring this story out for fear of the backlash,I really feel like there was a reason to share this vision.
