"The story was great until the ending...!"
While listening to the book I was so captivated that I was recommending it to others --- that is until the ending!
It seemed to me that the author had some sort of writer's block or a stroke! It was one of the more --- "leave the listener hanging" that I have read or listen to in a long long time!
In the future if author is still able to write Mr. Castle will NOT be on my book-list!!!
"OUTSTANDING!!!"
There is ONLY one thing wrong with this book is that it ENDED!!!! It did end at good place but I wish it had gone on & on & on!
Great characters, great story, & and an excellent read by Scott Brick! No deed to say more BUT give it a try....!
"Captivating!"
The story starts of with a BANG! Then becomes more and more CAPTIVATING as the store unfolds!
This book is well worth a listening to....
The Performance was a bit of a stretch Mr Hill in the female voice. As one listens to the story is NOT of any significant problem....
"VERY ENJOYABLE!!!"
Very, very, enjoyable tale in the 17th century of, England (?) Full of adventures, chuckles, sword fighting, and light romance.
For those who like to read about a flying monster that has a appetizing need for meat. All kinds of flesh! That I'm sure will TASTE your fancy...!?!
"The story was GREAT... --- but the narrator...?"
The story was very, very GOOD! The only thing lacking was a good reader!
It was very hard to discern when it was a female person talking or just the readers monotone voice just reading on as usual. However it is still a GREAT listen!!!!
"The story could be GOOD but the PERFORANCE is NOT!"
Tried listening to the book from the start several times --- but alas I gave up!!! The reader talked so fast that it seemed as though the words ran together!
Or possible it's because I'm 78 year old! But, I do not have trouble with most other readers....
"Very good story --- but not equal to vol. one!"
Though this second volume was very good it seemed to fall short of the first. There is a great deal of unnecessary dialog that I felt was to NO point or purpose in the story! The aforementioned seemed to make the story/book a bit to looooooong.
Irrespective of the above comments I GENUINLY look FORWARD to volume three!!!
"Narration is Bad Bad!"
Could NOT finish the book the narration was annoying just plain TERRIBLE!!!
How a producer could allow this to happen to a seemly good story is beyond me!
"Superman Lives!"
Although this story has some interesting action parts --- over all if it where not for the main character Jack Reacher (Superman) it would be a "dull" happening! Jack came up with a solution to the case a ---"miraculously" of the top of his head and the "day was won!"
Hurray!!!
"Outstanding!!!"
This story almost could NOT let me "put it done" or stop listening!!
If anyone does not listen to this "TELL OF THE SOUTH BEFOR THE CIVIL WAS" is missing a chronicle of early South Carolina & what might have happend...!
"Well worth the listen!!"
The story was worth my time --- had trouble putting it down!
The readers where outstanding!!
