I really enjoyed this book. It is somewhat different from the movie but it is very good. A person develops strong feelings for the characters and wants to see them arrive at a happy ending somehow. Very Good!!
This is a very good story of hope. The reader feels the emotions of the characters and cares what happens to them. It will not go down as a classic but it is still a good book!!
Although Robert B. Parker has died, Jesse Stone lives on very well. Mr. Brandman has taken up the style and mystery quality to a great extent. I didn't notice much difference in the writing and still felt highly entertained. James Naughton continues as the narrator which helps to extend the novel as one of Parker's stories.
I couldn't get into this story. I listened to about 80 minutes and stopped.
This is a very good book both in print and on discs. Morality and goal-setting are expressed as highly important even in the face of danger. The young hero has all the excellent qualities that we would like to see in all our children. My grandsons (9 & 11) eagerly listened to this and book 2 in the series. Good stories for any age!!
