Daughter of a cold, controlling mother and an anonymous donor, studious, obedient Elizabeth finally let loose one night, drinking too much at a nightclub and allowing a strange man’s seductive Russian accent to lure her to a house on Lake Shore Drive. The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman now known as Abigail Lowery lives alone on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she works at home designing sophisticated security systems.

What made the experience of listening to The Witness the most enjoyable?

While the narrator was excellent, the story was somewhat lacking. The beginning of the book built up a great adventure/mystery, then the romance starts and the mystery moves towards the background and the ending, in my opinion, was a bit anti-climactic.

Yet these unwanted children are more remarkable than they could possibly imagine. Ripped from their parents as babies, they are being protected from a horrible evil of devastating power, an evil they know nothing about. Until now. Before long, Kate, Michael, and Emma are on a journey to dangerous and secret corners of the world....

What made the experience of listening to The Emerald Atlas the most enjoyable?

Jim Dale is my favorite narrator. I fell in love with him as a little girl watching Pete's Dragon. Doc Terminus was awesome! (What can I say, I started my bad boy phase at 4 years old.) I will buy any book that he narrates, and I have not been disappointed yet!
This book was an unexpected surprise. It was unique, interesting, exciting and kept me guessing the entire time. When it was over I was revved up and ready for the next book in the series, only to find it was not due out for quite some time.
If you enjoy big, bold, magical adventures (not to mention the soothing voice of the audio-book master, Jim Dale) give this book a shot. I don't think you will be disappointed!
