By the time Henry Kissinger was made secretary of state in 1973, he had become, according to a Gallup poll, the most admired person in America and one of the most unlikely celebrities ever to capture the world’s imagination. Yet Kissinger was also reviled by large segments of the American public, ranging from liberal intellectuals to conservative activists. Kissinger explores the relationship between this complex man's personality and the foreign policy he pursued.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who is interested in every minute detail of kissingers life. But who knows how much is true. Kissinger did not authorize this book.

Would you recommend Kissinger to your friends? Why or why not?

Probably not. Too long and tedious.

What three words best describe Malcolm Hillgartner’s voice?

Great voice....kept me interested until I just just couldn't listen anymore.

What character would you cut from Kissinger?

    Haig....maybe.

    Any additional comments?

Unfortunately I didn't know before I bought this book that Kissinger was not endorse its writing.

America's first families are unknowable in many ways. No one has insight into their true character like the people who serve their meals and make their beds every day. Full of stories and details by turns dramatic, humorous, and heartwarming, The Residence reveals daily life in the White House as it is really lived through the voices of the maids, butlers, cooks, florists, doormen, engineers, and others who tend to the needs of the president and first family.

Book was interesting, but truly lacked substance. I listen to audiobooks and was not impressed with the performance. I was expecting more.

Set in the intriguing Scotland of 200 years ago, the third installment in the romantic adventures of Jamie and Claire is as compelling as the first. Now that Claire knows Jamie survived the slaughter at Culloden, she is faced with the most difficult decision of her life. She aches to travel back through time again to find the love of her life, but, in order to do that, she must leave their daughter behind.

Voyager is extraordinary...it is book three in the outlander series and is one of my favorites. The story is riveting at times, funny at time and romance abounds. You'll love it.

From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

Chris Kyle was a true American hero who saved many lives by becoming a sniper.....we lost him too soon. RIP Chris Kyle. You served your country well.

Winner of the Quill Award and the Corine International Book Prize, Diana Gabaldon is the #1 New York Times best-selling author of the Outlander series. This fourth novel featuring popular character Lord John Grey is told both from Lord Grey’s perspective and from that of Jamie Fraser, the star of the Outlander series.

Listening to books is very different than reading books. I have listened to the entire Outlander series and am used to the voice of Davina Porter. I couldn't get interested in this book because to me, the voices made the characters seem very weak. Lird ?Jihn and Jamie Fraser are anything but weak. I was dudappiunted.

Would you try another book from Dean Koontz and/or David Aaron Baker?

    Probably not.

What could Dean Koontz have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

There seems to be no good storyline...it just drones on with Odd Thomas' thoughts. Boring.

Would you be willing to try another one of David Aaron Baker’s performances?

    Maybe....not sure.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Odd Thomas?

I'd start over, make Odd Thomas more interesting, maybe a little humorous.
