"Outstanding"
Abby Abernathy, quintessential good girl meets and is challenged by quintessential Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand and bad boy Travis Maddox. And then the fun and heartache begins.
This is one of my top favorite books of all time! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
"So So"
Although there were some funny moments in this story I felt the romance was just so-so. I really liked Ms. Rose, she was definitely a hoot.
"Hot Damn!"
Hot damn!!!!!!! Whew!!!!!!! I think that sums it up folks. This was a fun and crazy hot story with a broody, possessive, obsessive, very sexy alpha male wolf shifter and a sarcastic strong but funny latent wolf shifter. Made for quite an interesting tale. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
"Lacked intensity"
The story lacked the intensity the other two books had. I was kind of bored actually until near the end where there was some level of suspense. Overall, the book was just ok for me.
"Magnificent, Thought-provoking story"
This is not only a story about being kidnapped. It's really a story of what’s right and what’s wrong. I truly cared for Gemma, Ty, I even felt for the poor chickens and the camel tied up outside. I am so emotionally drained after reading this as it's the kind of story that really messes with your mind! I loved every minute of it. I do caution you, this is not the happily ever after type of story. The narrator did an outstanding job!
"Not as Good as Earlier Books in this Series"
I liked the story of Nora, a single mother of two little girls who has never been married and is destitute. She applies for a job at an apple orchard and meets Tom. He refuses to hire her because he thinks apple picking would be too rigorous for her. However, his grandmother hires her instead. I absolutely loved grandma and she was the highlight of the story with her vivaciousness and spunkiness. Tom feels that he needs someone sophisticated and classy as opposed to someone like Nora who is down on her luck but is a good honest person. The story was enjoyable but not as good as some of the earlier books in this series. I think it might be time to move on from Virgin River.
"So-So"
Yes, I have listened to other performances of Therese Plummer and I have to say she did a superb job with this book. She totally conveyed the feelings and emotions of all the characters in this book.
The Virgen River series started out really strong but as the book countdown progresses, I am finding harder and harder to remain engaged. It was nice to see some of our old couples. The author did keep the principal romantic plot front and center better than she normally does. However, I found the big corporate exec turning veggie farmer to be somewhat unrealistic. Colin was so unlike his brothers. He was arrogant and just lacked the romantic characteristics that made the other characters stand out. But, I guess there is always a black sheep in every family and Colin definitely fit that perfectly. I am not sure whether or not I will continue reading the rest of this series but I have already committed so much time to it, I probably should just see it thru the end. We will see!
"Lackluster"
I was so looking forward to this new Robin Carr series however, I was sadly disappointed. The characters were boring, the story was slow paced and the romance was lackluster.
"Predictable"
The entire story was pretty predictable including the truth behind the hero's occupation. There really were no twists or turns so the story in itself was somewhat boring to me. The potential was there the author just did not execute it to its fullest.
"Not Wowed"
For a story so highly rated I was not impressed. It was definitely a sad story but not in a gut wrenching devastating painful way.
"HOLY COW!!!!!"
LOVED this book. Oh Braden, Braden, Braden. I was hooked from beginning to end. There was a good balance of angst, emotions, laughter, love. Good story with a perfect ending and no cliffhangers. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, HOT ACCENT!!!!! WHEW (fanning myself) ;-) the narrator did a good job.
