This book is out of my genre normally but I bought it because of the all the 5 star ratings and other peoples comments. sometimes that's a bit tricky because we all have different expectations. This far exceeded mine. I kept looking for things to do so I could put the headphones on and keep listening to the storey. I loved the narrator too, I'm looking for more books narrated by Ray Porter and searching now for more books by Peter Clines. this was a great listening book. I thouroughly enjoyed it.
It was good to have a different character and while this book is great as a stand alone book, it was cute to have the cross references with all Molly Harpers other books. As always a fast paced, action book with the gutsy female characters always falling into trouble but falling in love at the end. a good story is where I look for excuses to plug my headphones in. thanks again Ms Harper on a job well done.
This was a fun story and had me hooked from the start. I found myself looking for tasks to do so that I could keep listening. I find that's hard to do with an audio book. But Jane's life turning from bad to worse, or from worse to better depending on perception was engaging. Amanda Ronconi brought the books to life. It was so good, that after listening to this story, I downloaded all the others in the series. I can't wait for the rest of her books to be in a audio format.
I loved the book and the whole series. I don't know how I stumbled onto this series, because it's not within the genre I usually prefer, however, the story was so engaging I found myself making excuses to be able to listen to all the book(s). I don't know why it took so long for Kevin Hearne to become "fortnight success" but I can't wait for him to write more books. Kevin is an author I'll keeping searching for. The story is clever, witty and action packed. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the scenes (which was embarrassing at times) and I love the relationship between the druid and his dog. Luke Daniels is a great narrator with a good reading style and timbre in his voice. He's made the books come alive. Well done. I can't wait for the next book -Tricked.
