Not something I would typically gravitate to, I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me a bit of The Thirteenth Tale. Lots of historical detail...enough to make you think..."what if?"
I have enjoyed other Jodi Picoult books, but unfortunately, I had this ending figured out pretty quickly. Not quite as good as some of her newer work.
The best part of this book was the Narrator! Again, a typical murder mystery plot, but I felt it was really pulled together by the reader.
This book was...ok...typical plot, with a typical ending.
Great book! I was hooked right away and was sorry when it was over.
I really enjoyed this book-though not quite as much as Pillars of the Earth. While some parts moved along and I was eager to hear more, some parts, dragged a bit, and I was able to anticipate what was going to happen next. Having said this, I certainly do hope there is a third book coming!
An awesome 'listen'. I had trouble turning it off. Great character development and description. I could visualize the scenes. I would definitely listen/read more of this authors books.
