Reeling from a painful break-up, English instructor and avid book lover Wesley Smith is haunted by his ex-girlfriend's parting shot: "Why can't you just read off the computer like everyone else?" He buys an e-book reader out of spite, but soon finds he can use the device to glimpse realities he had never before imagined, discovering literary riches beyond his wildest dreams...and all-too-human tragedies that surpass his most terrible nightmares.

Just finished UR, and all I can say is WOW! What a fantastic story. I am one of SK's constant readers and still had no idea how this was going to end up until the last word had been read. I had not heard of Holter Graham befor this but he was perfect for this story. Excellent Read!!!

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

If you could sum up Under the Dome in three words, what would they be?

    TWISTED! EMOTIONAL!! POSSIBLE!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Under the Dome?

    THE FIRE, THE SMOKE

What about Raul Esparza’s performance did you like?

It sounded as if it were being read by a person that was actually there. At times you forget you were listing to a "story." Raul sets just the right tone for this SK novel and by the end of the story you feel as if you had been there with him through all all of it. It must be the way a person would feel if they could not swim and someone were drowning just a few feet out of their reach.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no! I simultaneously wanted the story to "PLEASE" be over with, while at the same time I wanted it to never end.

    Any additional comments?

Under The Dome is somewhere on my Top 5 favorite SK Novels List.
