This is a good book for a less conservative look at the role of government and corporations in American culture.
It's really a collection of short stories connected to a larger story. It's a clever idea and an enjoyable piece of writing, but it's not for the easily offended.
This is an amazing book with so much going on. It really is well worth a read.
starts slow, gets really interesting and creative, and ends too simplistically. It's a HUGE time investment, but I was determined to finish the thing.
This was a fun story that held my interest throughout. I didn't read the first book, nor have I a desire to do so, but this one was really engaging.
If you were part of the American Hardcore movement or the earlier American Punk movement, this book will interest you most. If you like character driven stories, this book is a fascinating story. A good read.
I think this novel could have ended about 2/3 of the way through and I would have been happy. The final section was a bit pedantic for me, but I can certainly appreciate it as the classic it is.
It's an interesting story that's easy to read. The performance was good. I think King is always creative in his approaches to classic stories and ideas. A clever idea.
