She's young. She's beautiful. And her corpse, laid out in the office of Boston medical examiner Cat Novak, betrays no secrets - except for a notebook clutched in one stiff hand, seven numbers scrawled inside. When a second victim is discovered, Cat begins to fear that a serial killer is stalking the city streets: a shadowy madman without mercy or apparent motive. The police are sceptical. The mayor won't listen. And Cat's chief suspect is one of the city's most prominent citizens.

Gerritsen was evolving to thriller suspense and this was her first! It is a rewrite with a different title. However, She did a great job with it and it was a great listen!

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

What did you love best about Under the Dome?

The cast of characters was intriguing because they are all so very different. I found myself listening during times I usually do other things because I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Under the Dome?

Hard to pick out just one moment, but the most unbelievable for me was what happened to Brenda!

What does Raul Esparza bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He made the characters individualized, which sometimes you forget to do when reading yourself.

Who was the most memorable character of Under the Dome and why?

    Definitely Barbie!

    Any additional comments?

    Best Listen thus far!
