    Yes. Luckily I had a hard cover copy, which I kept referring to. A lot is lost without seeing the photographs. Also, narrative was choppy.

    Yes. Historic, exciting, well read and great writing.


    What other book might you compare City of Thieves to and why?

    Kind of in a class by itself. Russian writers influence, but really with an American sensibility.


    What about Ron Perlman’s performance did you like?

    Accents were good., a little hammy, but fun.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The last chapter.

    I hope this makes money for Mr. Benioff. He's a real talent.

    What did you like best about Fifty Shades Darker? What did you like least?

    It kept me listening. Although, I think it is not well written, but does bring you along.
    The reader grew on me. I didn't like her style initially but could see her talent as the narratives progressed.
    It is the"Peyton Place" of the current culture. I would recommend it for a very light, frivolous read.


    If you’ve listened to books by E. L. James before, how does this one compare?

    I listened to the first Grey book and the last. They're all pretty much the same.
