"Great Story"
Loved the book but a bit disappointed with the end. All in all, a good book.
"Oh...I hope this is just the beginning of a series"
The Agincourt Bride was fascinating and I was totally absorbed. There was a perfect mix of historical information and fiction to give the book life. The narrator was enchanting and I will look for more titles narrated by her. I thought the book was well researched and well written. I hope it ended the way it did because a second book is in the works.
"Harsh and Disturbing"
I'll not slam the author or the character in the story. However, I found the book too harsh and disturbing. I believe there is a way to tell the stories of those with DID without going into such graphic details about the abuse.
Also, at times, I noticed inconsistencies in the doctor's therapy notes and a few things I found difficult to believe from the character. Again, that is my personal opinion and I developed that opinion from my own experiences.
I do not recommend this book to anyone who is interested in truly learning about DID.
I also strongly do not recommend anyone with DID listen to this book.
The graphic nature in describing the abuse of the character
"Unexpected"
I tend to follow narraters and particular authors. Donada Peters is a fav. I really didn't know what to expect from this book but it was amazing. There were several unexpected twist and the book was very well written. Will follow this author now.
