"BORING"
So boring, I couldn't finish it, I tried but couldn't.
Don't think so.
I think she was probably ok, the story was so boring she didn't have much to work with.
Nope, Nada,NO.!!!!!
"Jackson did it again !!!"
Fantastic book, I very rarely (actually NEVER) listen to a book twice, but a couple of days after I finished the book I missed the characters, and Ms. Jackson's lovely voice, so I listened to it again :) Highly recommend the book and author
"Loved this book :)"
I absolutely loved every minute of this book...:) Linda Francis Lee is 3 for 3, so far I have enjoyed all of her books on Audible.
"Put me to sleep"
I just couldn't get into this book, I wanted to like it because I love YA dystopian books. But this one was very slow and pretty boring. I loved Life as we knew it by Susan Beth Pfeffer, very similar but much better.
"I don't understand all the 5 star reviews"
By the middle of the book I was just waiting for it to end. I had no interest in the characters, had no doubt as to how the plot would pan out, and simply persevered because I'd sunk the credit into it.. I recommend if you waste a credit on this book, just fast forward to the last hour, the rest of it is crap.
I love YA novels and the dystopian genre, this one though shouldn't be wasted on anyone over 14, unless you like drama, and loooong boring descriptions on the setting sun, or her feelings.
Through the whole book you get to snooze through long drawn out descriptions :
EXAMPLE:
Love, the deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't.
But that isn't it, exactly.
The condemner and the condemned. The executioner; the blade; the last-minute reprieve; the gasping breath and the rolling sky above you and the thank you, thank you, thank you, God.
Love: It will kill you and save you, both.
The narrator did a good job, she got 5 stars :)
"So VERY good !!!!"
I highly recommend this audio. I've listened to almost all her other books and loved them all she also does a great job narrating, she had Rose May, Ro Grandy and Ivy Wheeler's voices perfect. I absolutely love Joshilyn Jacksons books. .
"Loved this book :)"
Not sure why people are complaining about the narrator I thought she did a good job. I gave her 4 stars because she didn't change her voice when switching between characters, but that didn't take away from the book at all, The way the author wrote the book you didn't need the voices to change, you knew when it was Anna or T.J.'s POV.
"FAN-FRICKEN-TASTIC !!!!!!!!!!"
Definitely, this is one of the best books i've listened to or read, and I listen and read A LOT of books.
I don't like this question, if I write it it will ruin the book for someone who hasn't read it yet. I'll just say, " The whole book is memorable", from start to finish.
This was my first, she's a VERY good narrator.
Arlene (Lena) and Aunt Flo (Florence).
If your still thinking about getting this book, don't think no more. HIt the BUY button and enjoy ;) You'll love it.
"Kept my interest"
Yes, it was a fast paced and interesting book.
Joyce, as a women in my 50's also I could relate to a lot of her feelings and fears.
"I wish I could give this 6 STARS"
Top 5, very close to the top :)
The story was very different, I really can't compare to any other book I've read or listened to.
This was my first time listening to her, but I'll definitely see what else she's narrated. She did a great job.
"Started out really good,"
No, It had a good story, it just seemed to drag a bit. I had a hard time finishing it.
NO WAY !!! I love this genre.
