I grew up reading all of Heinlein's juvenile novels and to this day I still pick them up for another read whenever I want to feel like a kid again. The Rolling Stones was always one of my favorites and I think this recording does it justice. I'll agree with others that the some of the "bumper" music is a bit on the annoying side but overall I think the voice characterizations were pretty good. I hope some of Heinlein's other works are brought to audio in the near future.
I finally pulled the plug on this one after getting 3 hours and 20 minutes into it. I kept thinking that it would get better and I should keep listening , however, when at that 3:20 point new characters were still being introduced I realized that I would need a spreadsheet to keep track of everyone. I'm all for well developed and interesting characters but this is insane. How about some story line? Or do I have to listen for another 5 hours to actually learn what's going on? Maybe I'll pick this one up again at a later date and give it another try...wait a minute...what am I saying? That would be like having acid poured into my ears. No thank you.
